Neu-Restore is a digital hub and app for the management of the upper limb following stroke. It has completed the first stage of it’s journey – to prove the viability of the concept, and currently awaits further investment.
The heart of this system is a series of electrodes wired up to a patients’ arm, which send EMG data to some device in order to make an assessment of neural damage from stroke. This EMG data can be used to supplement current assessment methods with more objective physiological data.
Our part in this was to integrate the EMG sensors into an app, and therefore facilitate capturing data directly from the patient in-situ. The app had essentially two main purposes. The first was to allow the patient to capture this data, and also record it for a clinician to review. The second was to facilitate the patient entering PROMS survey data, which again was captured for review by clinicians.
We built the app and the corresponding digital hub for our client, Elaros over a period of about 6 months.
